Infrared image in Ottawa
An infrared image is the product of infrared thermal imaging.
A contractor will use a thermal camera to take an infrared image of the building. The infrared image will be made up of different colours that will reveal differences in temperature of the objects in the infrared image. The more thermal energy given off by an object, the higher its temperature. Infrared images can therefore reveal whether there are any sources of heat loss or water penetration in the building. If so, it is highly recommended to take care of the problem because it can lead to more damage.
